Stephen John Dalseg was born on January 28, 1949, in Renton, Washington, to parents Gunnar and Claire Dalseg. He spent his childhood in Des Moines with summers on Camano Island. Stephen’s first job was at Madrona Beach Resort on Camano Island where Steve and the owner, Clint Parker, managed the boathouse and dock.
Steve was employed at Nelson Trucking in Seattle for twenty-three years and was a proud member of Teamsters Local 174.
Steve loved to be outdoors, camping either in the mountains or by the ocean. He enjoyed dirt biking, off-road 4x4 Jeeping, and taking trips with his family and friends.
Steve is survived by his loving wife of fifty-three years, Kathy, son Todd, daughter Vickie, grandsons Greyson and Mason, and many nieces and nephews.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Gunnar and Claire, brother Neil, and sisters Joyce, Janet and Gloria. He was loved dearly and will be missed.
There will be a visitation held for Steve on Friday, February 23, 2024, at 4:00pm at Edline-Yahn & Covington Funeral Chapel. A funeral service will be held the next morning on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at 10:00am followed by a graveside at Evergreen Memorial Park in Enumclaw, Washington at 2:00pm. There will be a brief viewing period prior to the start of the funeral service on Saturday morning for family and friends.
